“The human race built most nobly when limitations were greatest, and therefore where most was required of imagination in order to build it all. Limitations seem to have always been the best friends of architecture.” -Frank Lloyd Wright

“The Human Condition” an exhibit painted in 20 days within the walls of Subcentral. The body of work captures the challenges and creative solutions that arouse under the pressures of time and material restrictions. Keryan used house paints for this project, which added a layer of limitation due to the material’s lack of fluidity and fast drying property. The concept of the project was total destruction of all creative comfort zones with the intent of exploring the reactions, solutions, desires, weaknesses and strengths of one’s own mind.
